About The Valerie Fund
The Valerie Fund is a leading brand that supports comprehensive healthcare services for children with cancer and blood disorders. Founded by Ed and Sue Goldstein after their daughter Valerie lost her battle with cancer at the age of 9, the fund aims to provide easier access to more customized care for families in similar situations. They offer a unique blend of medical care and emotional counseling to create a supportive environment for patients and their families during treatment and beyond.
The fund operates several centers at top pediatric hospitals within an hour's drive of most of the state's population. Each center is staffed with a team of social workers, psychologists, and child life specialists who are dedicated to easing the burden on families so they can focus on healing. The Valerie Fund also organizes various events and campaigns to raise funds and awareness, including the Valerie Fund Walk/5K.
