The Village Family Centre

The Village Family Centre is a social enterprise focused on improving community health, wellbeing and quality of life by supporting caregivers. Its approach begins with parents, teachers and other adults who care for children, equipping them with knowledge and practical skills to better understand and meet children’s needs. The centre provides evidence-based occupational therapy services informed by attachment theory, sensory needs, neurodiversity, child development and trauma-sensitive practice.

Its offerings include paediatric services, Circle of Security workshops, groups and other programs, with information available about fees, rebates and referrals. The centre’s broader aim is to help caregivers navigate the physical, emotional and social changes associated with pregnancy and early parenthood, while strengthening the relationships and environments that support children’s wellbeing. At present, new referrals for individual therapy are temporarily paused as services evolve.

However, expressions of interest in groups, workshops and other programs remain open. The Village Family Centre presents its work as proactive, practical support for families and the wider community
