The Waterfowl Studio

The Waterfowl Studio is a Jacksonville, Florida, taxidermy business run by Scott Staton, specializing exclusively in waterfowl and upland game birds. With more than 20 years of bird-mounting experience, Staton has competed at state, national, and world levels and has earned numerous awards. The studio serves hunters and collectors seeking realistic mounts, with an emphasis on detailed craftsmanship, quality materials, competitive pricing, and clear communication.

Its services include mounts of dabbling and diving ducks, sea ducks, geese, and upland game birds. Clients can choose wall or table mounts, executive plexiglass display cases, pedestal displays, and custom scenes. Optional bases and habitat details—such as water, ice, snow, lily pads, rocks, or barnacles—can be arranged to suit each project; clients may also provide clean, dry driftwood.

The studio reports a typical turnaround of ten to eleven months and accepts birds throughout the year. It does not accept turkeys, sandhill cranes, swans, or Canadian geese. The Waterfowl Studio is located on Heckscher Drive in Jacksonville; visits to its showroom are by appointment
