The Wine Room

The Wine Room by David Nash is a restaurant, wine bar and cellar in Freemans Bay, Auckland, bringing food, wine and private hospitality together in one destination. Open seven days, it serves lunch, dinner and a full kitchen menu, from oysters and bar snacks to à la carte dining. Its European-inspired cooking highlights New Zealand produce and is designed with wine pairings in mind.

The wine list features more than 400 bottles and over 40 wines by the glass, spanning local producers and international regions, with regular updates. The bar welcomes walk-ins for wine, cocktails and snacks, with sun and cigar decks. For gatherings, the venue offers private dining for two to twenty guests and whole-venue events for up to seventy-five.

The Reserve is a members’ wine platform offering allocation-only bottles, professional cellaring beneath the restaurant and access to personal collections. The shop sells curated wines, winemaker dinner releases and glassware, with delivery throughout New Zealand
