The Young Actors Co.

The Young Actors Company is a youth acting and training organisation based at Netherhall School in Cambridge, with more than 40 years of experience teaching children and young actors. It provides a welcoming, inclusive environment where students can develop performance skills, confidence and creativity through practical training led by industry professionals. Its programmes cover theatre, television and film, radio, voice work, writing and producing, with classes and events offered throughout the year.

The company’s Screen Academy focuses on screen acting and gives participants experience both in front of and behind the camera, including work on showreels, trailers, short films and location shoots. Its Stage Academy combines workshops and masterclasses with major productions staged in professional theatre venues. Other programmes include YACtots, an introductory drama group for children aged five to eight, and The Workshop, a weekly group for a range of ages. The company also runs the adult YAC Players theatre group and operates a professional agency representing young actors.
