Thijs op Reis organizes personal, small-scale winter trips and ski camps for people who want to experience the mountains through sport, local knowledge and a sense of adventure. Based in St. Anton, Austria, Thijs is a professional ski instructor who arranges and accompanies trips for individuals, friends, families, clubs and companies.
The programme includes a Freeride Camp focused on off-piste skiing and snowboarding, technique and avalanche safety, and a Ski Camp for skiers looking to improve their piste skills. Tailor-made group trips can also include ski lessons, outdoor activities, team building or leadership experiences, with plans adapted to participants’ abilities and interests. Thijs shares local knowledge of the Austrian Alps and aims to balance sporting challenges with time to enjoy mountain huts, regional food and the company of fellow skiers and snowboarders.
Safety, personal attention and flexibility are central to the experience. The brand also highlights more responsible travel, including emissions compensation, vegetarian and locally sourced food where possible, and destinations accessible by train
