ThinkWork

ThinkWork! is a resource hub from the Institute for Community Inclusion (ICI) at the University of Massachusetts Boston, focused on advancing employment and opportunity for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). It brings together federal and state employment data, personal stories, research, practical tools, and examples of promising policies and practices. Its resources support people and organizations working to improve access to competitive, integrated employment and community life.

Visitors can explore StateData, including state snapshots, national reports, outcome metrics, and the Blue Book on employment and economic self-sufficiency. ThinkWork also offers guidance for service providers and state IDD agencies on organizational change, staff development, collaboration, funding, and support for job seekers. Featured materials include research-to-practice briefs, data updates, and tools addressing employment services and transportation. Through StateData Outcome Metrics, the team works with states on data systems, technical assistance, analysis, and reporting. ThinkWork also supports the State Employment Leadership Network, a community of practice where state agencies share knowledge and strategies.
