Third Coast Gallery is

Third Coast Gallery is a fine art gallery founded in Galveston, Texas, in 1985 by artist Jack Morris. From its early involvement in the city’s ArtWalk, the gallery has contributed to Galveston’s arts community and developed a program focused on presenting a variety of artistic media and styles. Its exhibitions include abstract paintings, sculpture, assemblages, wood turnings, and representational paintings in oil and watercolor.

The gallery also served as Jack Morris’s studio and showcases his work. Morris is known for photo-derivative, photorealistic oil paintings depicting Galveston, New Orleans, and other locations. He also creates commissioned portraits and paintings of historic homes on Galveston Island. Visitors can explore his works, including works in progress, alongside art by other artists featured by the gallery. Third Coast Gallery provides updates about new work and gallery news through an email list, with alerts for new art. Its offerings bring together regional subjects, varied artistic approaches, and opportunities to discover original paintings and other forms of visual art.
