About The Himalayan Innovative Society
The Himalayan Innovative Society (THIS) is an organization dedicated to uplifting the livelihood of the people in Humla and the Mid-western region of Nepal. With a gender-balanced, seven-member board, THIS is led by Ms. Babita Lama, a dynamic woman from the Humla district.
The core staff includes Mr. D. B.
Lama, a seasoned director who has successfully coordinated various projects in Humla, including the construction of health posts and the establishment of micro-hydro power systems. Passionate about education, D. B.
THIS focuses on a wide range of areas, from education counseling and family visits to community awareness campaigns and collaboration with partner organizations such as Adara Development Nepal and Go Campaign. Targeting women and children from deprived communities in remote areas, THIS is committed to making a positive impact on their lives.
