Thomashof Distanz is a VDD endurance-riding event held at Thomashof in Schneverdingen-Wesseloh, on the edge of the Nordheide. It welcomes riders and drivers, from newcomers to experienced competitors, for routes of 4 to 146 kilometres across fields, forests and heathland. The event offers 14 competitions, including children’s and introductory rides, and supports riding without a horse’s support crew on selected routes. Participants can access route maps and GPX files, online registration and a dedicated app with competition information, navigation, live status and an emergency button.
Beyond the rides, Thomashof Distanz provides practical facilities such as a large paddock area, a weather-protected riding arena for veterinary checks, showers, toilets, hay for sale and on-site catering. A weekend meal service and evening campfire add to the welcoming atmosphere. The Thomashof Distanz Academy also runs VDD-recognised seminars for riders and drivers in small groups. The event is supported by more than 30 business partners and sponsors, and promotes an inclusive spirit summed up by its motto: “Arriving is winning.”.
