Thompsons Coins

Thompsons Coins is a brand that was founded in 2021, born out of a deep passion for collecting coins, banknotes, and more. With over a decade of experience in the industry, serving a diverse range of clients from beginners to those with multi-million dollar portfolios, Thompsons Coins is dedicated to sharing their extensive knowledge and expertise. The journey of Thompsons Coins began with a stint at the Philatelic Bureau for Australia Post, where the founder discovered the serious pursuit of collecting stamps and coins.

This initial fascination soon blossomed into a love for numismatics, leading them to work with esteemed establishments like Downies Coins and Collectables. Here, they not only catered to VIP clients but also acquired invaluable lessons about coin authentication, history, valuations, and more. After further enhancing their skills and experience in Sydney, Thompsons Coins returned to their hometown of Melbourne and assumed the role of Senior Numismatist and Manager at the renowned Downies flagship store.

At Thompsons Coins, you can explore an impressive range of products, including new arrivals, pre-decimal coins, Perth Mint releases, PNCs, world mints, sovereigns, ancient coins, PCGS-graded coins, banknotes from around the world, and various collectibles.
