Thor Guard is a lightning safety company that has developed prediction and warning systems since 1973. With more than 50 years of experience, the company combines atmospheric static-electricity measurements, lightning data, and prediction algorithms to assess changing storm conditions and warn of potential lightning before a first strike occurs near a sensor. Its systems also detect lightning, supporting decisions about when it is safe to pause outdoor activities and seek shelter.
Thor Guard offers a range of hardware and software products, including TG360 and TG360 Hybrid systems, Nomad and Neptune units, and the Voice of Thor and ThorAlert warning products. Its software and communication services include ThorServer, ThorMobile, and ThorTV. The company also provides information on lightning and tornado prediction, system support, and customer assistance. Thor Guard serves organizations responsible for outdoor safety, with examples including golf courses, schools, athletic programs, and residential communities. Customers describe using its alerts and weather information to guide safety decisions, while the company highlights its engineering, meteorology, ongoing technology development, and responsive service as part of its approach.
