THRDCOALITION, also known as Tanzania Human Rights Defenders Coalition (THRDC), is a registered organization under the laws of Tanzania. The coalition was established in 2010 in response to the increasing incidents of human rights violations in the country. While other human rights organizations focused on broader issues, THRDC was specifically formed to protect and promote the rights of human rights defenders (HRDs).

As a unique organization in its field, THRDC has become a center of attraction for HRDs seeking support and protection. With approximately 170 members in Tanzania mainland and 30 members in Zanzibar, the coalition has experienced significant growth since its inception. Membership is open to human rights-based organizations across mainland Tanganyika and Zanzibar.

THRDC offers a wide range of programs and services to its members, including members' affairs, protection programs, advocacy, capacity building, emergency support, institutional building, fundraising, and partner meetings. Additionally, the coalition provides resources such as strategic plans, reports, newsletters, and online classes through its resource center.
