About JoTT
The Journal of Threatened Taxa (JoTT) is a pivotal resource in the biodiversity community, dedicated to the rapid dissemination of peer-reviewed research vital for conservation efforts and academic inquiry. Established to support researchers, conservationists, and related professionals, JoTT fosters the exploration of critical issues across various biological domains, including taxonomy, ecology, and wildlife management. Adhering to the principles of Gold Open Access, JoTT ensures that its valuable publications are accessible free of charge, charging only a nominal article processing fee with no hidden costs.
The journal emphasizes inclusivity and broad subject representation, mentoring emerging authors and offering English language support to help ensure high-quality contributions. JoTT's commitment to comprehensive environmental understanding is reflected in its consideration of all taxa at risk—not solely those classified by the IUCN. With a monthly publication schedule and a symbolically resonant logo designed by wildlife artist Stephen Nash, JoTT not only shares scientific findings but also promotes awareness and stewardship of our planet's biodiversity.
