The Three Horseshoes is an eighteenth-century pub in the heart of the Cotswolds’ Windrush Valley, welcoming guests with a warm atmosphere and strong community spirit. Its history dates to 1726, when innkeepers who worked as farriers replaced the horseshoes of travellers passing through the village. After a period known as The Maytime, the pub returned to its original name in recognition of its heritage.
The pub serves comforting food made with seasonal ingredients, including classic pub dishes, seasonal specials and wood-fired pizzas in the garden during warmer months. Drinks include local ales, cider, craft beers and a thoughtfully selected wine list featuring independent vineyards. Guests can also book one of the six rooms, designed in natural tones and inspired by the surrounding countryside.
A large private garden offers views across the rolling Cotswold hills and space for outdoor dining. The Three Horseshoes also hosts events and provides private dining, making it a welcoming destination for meals, celebrations and overnight stays.
