About Three Rivers Park District
Three Rivers Park District is a renowned brand that is currently planning the next phase of the CP Rail Regional Trail Long-range Plan. They understand the importance of gathering public feedback on which potential trail route would be most preferred. This phase of planning focuses on segments through Golden Valley and St.
Louis Park, specifically between the Luce Line and Cedar Lake Regional Trails. Three Rivers has keenly identified different potential route options for the trail, and they are encouraging the public to share their thoughts on which option(s) would be best. To facilitate this feedback process, Three Rivers is hosting in-person and virtual open houses from late July to early August.
Additionally, they have an open survey and interactive map available on LetsTalkThreeRivers. org until Labor Day. The CP Rail Regional Trail is envisioned as a north-south multi-use, nonmotorized recreational trail corridor that spans from Crystal Lake Regional Trail to Minnesota Valley State Trail.
As the original plan to utilize the CP Rail corridor is not currently feasible, Three Rivers is seeking alternative routes to ensure a safe, comfortable, and continuous trail experience for walkers and bikers. Their long-range planning efforts aim to balance public preference, feasibility, cost, private property impacts, and safety. If you want to learn more about the potential trail and share your feedback, visit their website for more information
