About Throttle
Throttle is an email management and privacy service designed to give users control over who can reach their inbox. Rather than requiring access to an existing email account, it creates unique addresses for use on websites, helping keep a user’s real address private and limit unwanted messages. Browser extensions for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera, and Mobile Safari generate and fill these addresses in online forms, while an iPhone and iPad app keeps messages and account settings in sync.
Messages sent to Throttle addresses are collected in an online reading list and combined into a daily digest, making newsletters and notifications easier to review without constant inbox interruptions. Its Spamsense feature identifies when a sender may have shared or sold an address, and Revoke Access lets users shut down that address to stop further messages. Throttle offers Plus and Pro plans, with options such as more authorizations and categories, customizable digests, and advanced features.
