Thurrock Harriers

Thurrock Harriers Athletics Club (THAC) is a volunteer-run athletics club based at Blackshots Athletic Stadium in Grays, Essex. It welcomes members of all ages, abilities, backgrounds and stages of development, supporting athletes to pursue their goals across the sport’s range of disciplines. The club provides coaching from qualified and experienced coaches, with sessions scheduled for different age groups and additional opportunities to compete in races and athletics events. Its calendar and news coverage feature local, regional and national competitions, including cross-country, track and field, championships and road races.

THAC aims to make athletics enjoyable and challenging, while providing a socially responsible and inclusive environment. The club also works with national, regional and local organisations to support facilities and opportunities ranging from grassroots participation to international competition. Beyond coaching and membership, Thurrock Harriers offers its maintained track and field facilities for hire, with an on-site clubhouse providing food and drinks for events. The club is run by volunteers and welcomes people interested in helping with coaching or other roles.
