TIAC is a company limited by guarantee established in 2019 to provide alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services, which include international and domestic commercial arbitration, adjudication, mediation and conciliation and is operationally independent from the Government by maintaining a high quality panel of arbitrators and mediators, who are known for their integrity, impartiality and expertise for effective resolution of disputes outside court. TIAC operates with the support of an Advisory Board, a Board of Directors, and a Secretariat, and draws on the established legal framework for international arbitration in Tanzania.
