About TickZone
TickZone is a public-information service that helps people understand local tick activity across the United States. Its website provides a daily tick-risk score, from 0 to 100, for more than 32,000 towns in all 50 states. The score is presented in green, amber, or red bands and draws on local weather, tick life stages, forest cover, county disease data, and information about tick species.
Visitors can browse towns by state and county, compare rankings, view a seven-day outlook, and see the factors behind each estimate. TickZone also offers guides covering ticks in the United States, deer ticks and Lyme disease, and alpha-gal syndrome, alongside an explanation of its methodology and data sources. The service uses public data from the U.
S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Open-Meteo, ESA WorldCover, and the U. S.
Census Bureau. TickZone is free to use on the web without an account, and its iPhone app offers home-screen risk updates and alerts ahead of forecast increases
