TiDB Cloud is a cloud database service positioned to help developers and businesses build applications faster and at lower cost. Its offering is presented as a single, AI-ready database, bringing the capabilities needed for application development together in one service. New users can start for free, providing an entry point to explore the platform before scaling their use.

TiDB Cloud highlights automatic scaling, which can adjust capacity in seconds as application needs change, and high availability as a key feature. These capabilities are intended to support applications that need dependable database access while their workloads grow or fluctuate. By combining a free starting option, rapid auto-scaling, high availability, and AI readiness, TiDB Cloud aims to simplify the database choice for teams creating new apps.

The service’s central promise is to make app building more efficient and economical, with database resources designed to adapt quickly rather than requiring users to manage every capacity change themselves
