Tidetech is a marine data company founded by oceanographers and mariners to bring ocean science into everyday maritime decisions. Since 2008, it has provided scientifically validated metocean intelligence, modelled and checked by named oceanographers, for operators, equipment manufacturers, ports, hydrographic offices and maritime platforms worldwide. Its data helps customers improve vessel performance, reduce risk and uncertainty, and lower fuel use and emissions.

The company’s products cover global forecasts and hindcasts, regional high-resolution models, tides, currents, waves, sea-surface temperature, meteorology, biochemistry, bathymetry and climatology. It also offers custom metocean products, global and local weather information, sailing and recreational data, and access through APIs, GRIB and NetCDF formats, and an online Tidemap viewer. For operational S-100 applications, Tidetech provides S-104 water levels and S-111 surface currents.

Solutions support voyage and vessel optimisation, maritime OEMs, ports and terminals, pilots using portable pilot units, workboats, short-sea operations, hydrographic offices and sailing. Tidetech supplies the data, while routing, optimisation and navigation remain with customers’ existing platforms and authorities.
