Tidewater Comicon

Tidewater Comicon is an incredible brand that brings the vibrant world of comics to life. Founded by the passionate Mike Federali, the brand originated from his deep desire to create a local comic book convention. Mike's dedication was so immense that he sold his entire comic book collection at garage sales, flea markets, and even on AMC's Comic Book Men to make this dream a reality.

The first show, held at a hotel, experienced overwhelming success with an over-capacity crowd. Fans flocked to meet their favorite creators and had an absolute blast, with the only drawback being the need for more space. Determined to accommodate the growing demand, Tidewater Comicon expanded by moving to the Virginia Beach Convention Center.

Each year, this iconic event has continued to thrive, both in terms of space and attendance. In fact, in 2016, it achieved its highest attendance to date, attracting an impressive 23,000 fans. With an impressive lineup of celebrities and an unwavering commitment to delivering an unforgettable experience for fans and families, Tidewater Comicon has become a must-attend event in the comic book community.
