Tierfreunde Europa

Tierfreunde Europa is an animal welfare association dedicated to helping dogs and other companion animals find safe, loving homes. The organization works with partner shelters and rescue facilities in Spain and Portugal, including refuges in Tarragona, Calatayud, Reus, Flix, Cáceres and Lagoa. Its work focuses particularly on giving dogs, including animals from euthanasia facilities, a chance to be adopted by caring families.

The association shares profiles and updates about animals seeking homes, helping prospective adopters learn about their needs, health and personalities. It also supports the adoption process and connects interested people with the relevant contact persons. Some animals are available to meet through foster placements in Germany.

Beyond rehoming, Tierfreunde Europa assists its partner facilities through financial contributions, sponsorships, foster homes and donations of supplies such as food. The association organizes and promotes fundraising efforts, including opportunities to support its projects through participating retailers, and coordinates deliveries of donated goods to shelters.
