**Tierheim Iserlohn** is a dedicated animal shelter operated by the Tierschutzverein Iserlohn und Umgebung e.V., passionately working to unite two- and four-legged friends into loving families for over 35 years. As the oldest and only non-profit shelter of its kind in Germany, Tierheim Iserlohn specializes in rehoming dogs, cats, and small animals, offering a welcoming space for potential pet owners to find their new companions. The shelter operates by appointment only, ensuring personalized attention for each visitor.

In addition to facilitating adoptions, Tierheim Iserlohn emphasizes the importance of animal welfare, providing guidance on responsible pet ownership and emergency procedures. They actively support missing pet searches through a strong network within the German animal welfare community, highlighting the need for proper identification and registration. The shelter relies heavily on donations of food and supplies, encouraging community support. Those interested in helping can contribute through various means, knowing that every bit aids in the care of the animals awaiting forever homes.
