Tierheim Koppelweide

The Oberberg Animal Welfare Association operates the Koppelweide Animal Shelter in Wiehl, serving animals and communities in the Oberberg region. The shelter provides protection, care and attention to animals that have lost their homes while they wait to be adopted. Its residents include dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and other small animals, as well as other animals such as goats and sheep. The shelter also takes in lost animals and animals surrendered by owners from nearby towns and communities.

Through its adoption service, the association helps match animals with new homes and shares information about animals available for adoption. Its website also provides details about the team, veterinary staff, dog trainers, animal welfare topics, emergency contacts and current shelter news. Visitors can learn about the association’s work, contact the shelter or find directions and opening-hour information.

The organization welcomes support through donations and membership, and shares an online wish list of supplies needed for its residents and work. Donations can be acknowledged with a receipt upon request.
