Tierheim Kulmbach

Tierschutzverein Kulmbach & Umgebung e.V. is an animal welfare association serving Kulmbach and the surrounding area in Germany. The organization works to prevent animal suffering, promote respect for animal welfare, and operate the Kulmbach animal shelter in Heinersreuth, Ködnitz. Its shelter cares for dogs, cats, and other animals, and shares information about animals seeking new homes, including their needs and adoption suitability. The association supports prospective adopters with details about adoption fees and offers sponsorships for people who want to help animals in its care. It also provides boarding for animals and organizes events.

A key part of the association’s work is helping control the population of feral domestic cats by contributing to the cost of neutering. This can reduce unwanted litters and help prevent animals from being brought to the shelter. The organization relies on donations and public support to continue its activities, including essential shelter maintenance. Visitors can find information about opening hours, staff and board members, membership, emergencies, and ways to get involved through the association’s website.
