Tierheim Peine, operated by the Tierschutzverein Peine und Umgegend e.V., is dedicated to the rescue, care, and successful rehoming of animals in need. Focused on achieving better lives for stray and abandoned pets, the shelter actively facilitates adoptions for dogs, cats, and small animals. In addition to animal adoption services, Tierheim Peine also provides a safe haven through its fostering program and offers a tier pension for temporary care of pets.

The shelter relies on community support through membership, donations, and sponsorships to ensure the well-being of its residents. Individuals interested in adopting or offering assistance are encouraged to schedule a visit to interact with the animals and learn more about the shelter’s activities. Tierheim Peine not only plays a crucial role in animal welfare but also serves as a hub for educational resources, including information on veterinary care and wildlife protection. Through engaging initiatives and volunteer opportunities, Tierheim Peine fosters a culture of compassion toward all animals in need.
