About Tierheim Schleswig
The Tiergesundheitsverein Stadt Schleswig und Kreis Schleswig-Flensburg e.V., established on April 22, 1869, is dedicated to animal welfare and fostering the well-being of animals in the Schleswig area. Known as Tierheim-SL, this organization not only operates a shelter but also offers a range of services aimed at supporting local animals in need. Their efforts include services for found animals, emergency care, and adoption processes for dogs, cats, and small pets.
With a mission to prevent animal suffering, Tierheim-SL actively seeks community support through initiatives such as the "Save Animal Shelters from Collapse" petition and partnerships for fundraising. The organization encourages donations through platforms like PayPal to help cover daily operational costs and sustain their vital services.
Through fostering, rehoming, and educational efforts, the Tierheim-SL plays a pivotal role in ensuring that every animal finds a loving home, while also advocating for responsible pet ownership and animal care. Their commitment to animal welfare shines through in their programs and community engagement initiatives.
