Tierhof Sonnenschein

Tierhof Sonnenschein e. V. is a nonprofit animal sanctuary near Greifswald in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany.

Founded by the Littmann family, the association provides a lifelong home for animals that are elderly, ill, unwanted, or unable to remain with their former owners. Residents include dogs, cats, horses, ponies, donkeys, goats, sheep, miniature pigs, rabbits, guinea pigs, poultry, and degus. They receive daily care and are treated as part of the sanctuary’s family; they are not available for adoption, with the stated exception of three male degus seeking a suitable home.

The sanctuary is currently at full capacity and cannot accept additional animals. Its work depends on donations, animal sponsorships, and volunteer support, with no regular public funding. Supporters can contribute through the options listed by the association, including PayPal, bank transfer, and Teaming.
