Tierra Luna Cellars is a brand inspired by the incredible journey of former NASA Astronaut, Jose Hernandez. Born into a migrant farm working family from Mexico, Jose's childhood was spent traveling between Mexico and California, working in the fields to support his family. Through determination and his parents' focus on education, Jose fulfilled his dream of reaching the stars, joining NASA and even embarking on a mission to the International Space Station.
After leaving NASA, Jose returned home to California to be near his parents and pursue his next big dream: owning his own vineyard and producing his own wine. Tierra Luna Cellars was born from this dream. With the help of his father, Salvador, Jose now owns and operates a small vineyard north of Lodi, producing a range of wines inspired by the constellations he viewed from space.
