Tierrettungsdienst Freiburg | Hilfswerk Tier und Natur e.V. operates the Tierschutzzentrum Ehrenkirchen, supporting animal welfare through rescue, shelter care and rehoming. The organization offers animal adoption services for dogs, cats, small animals and exotic pets, helping prospective owners find a suitable companion. Its website also shares updates about animals in its care and invites former adopters to send news and photos about their pets’ progress.
The center provides dog and cat boarding services, although it currently reports that it cannot accept new boarding animals until further notice. Other areas of its work include a sanctuary, a foundation and a veterinary practice. Visitors can contact the organization by phone or email to arrange an adoption appointment; advance booking allows time for a consultation and helps avoid long waits.
Donations support the daily care of animals at the shelter. The organization welcomes financial contributions, food and other supplies, and also invites individuals and businesses to become sponsors.
