Tierschutzbund is the largest animal welfare umbrella organization in Germany and Europe. Our mission is to fight for the well-being and rights of animals every day. We work tirelessly to raise awareness about pressing animal welfare issues and provide vital support to animals in need.

We operate our own animal rescue centers for distressed pets, offer assistance to animal shelters and animal welfare associations through food donations, materials, and emergency aid. In addition, we run a unique street animal project in Ukraine. Through our campaigns, we strive to promote animal welfare topics, educate the public, and offer guidance on animal protection matters.

We also exert pressure on politicians and engage in dialogue with the German government, the Bundestag, and the EU Parliament.
