desTierschutzverein Alpirsbach

Tierschutzverein Alpirsbach und Umgebung e. V. is a volunteer-led animal welfare organisation serving Alpirsbach and nearby communities in Baden-Württemberg, Germany.

A member of the German Animal Welfare Federation and its Baden-Württemberg regional association, the club works to help animals in need through its shelter, community involvement and public education. It takes in found and surrendered animals, caring for them and seeking suitable new homes; recent reports describe an average of around 55 animals received each year and about 35 placed with new owners. The shelter has welcomed cats and other animals, including pets requiring support and rehoming, and encourages prospective adopters to arrange visits and learn about available animals.

The organisation also shares information and guidance on animal welfare and responsible pet care, and has hosted educational activities for children and young people. Its Café Tierpfote and information stand at the Alpirsbach Pentecost market help connect with the community and support its work. Donations, membership, fostering practical involvement and volunteer help enable the entirely voluntary team to continue assisting animals
