Tierschutzverein Ludwigshafen und Umgebung e. V. is a nonprofit animal welfare association serving Ludwigshafen and the surrounding area. The organization works to protect and care for animals, and helps find homes for cats, rabbits, birds and exotic animals. Its website also offers advice and support on animal-related topics, including what to do when a pet goes missing, animal care and relevant laws. Visitors can learn about the association’s goals, history, activities and volunteer opportunities, as well as read updates and press releases.
The association relies on public support to fund its work and says it receives no public funding. People can contribute through monetary donations, PayPal, direct debit, its Amazon wish list, or donations of food and supplies; towels are especially useful. Supporters may also become members, volunteer or sponsor an animal through a patenschaft. Visits to the animals are available by appointment only, with regular opening hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2 to 4 p.m.
