About Tierschutzverein für Tirol
The Tierschutzverein für Tirol 1881, with over 20,000 members, stands as the leading animal welfare organization in Tyrol, Austria. Established in 1881, the organization is dedicated to preventing animal suffering, fostering youth compassion for animals, and respecting all living creatures. Each year, its shelters in Innsbruck, Wörgl, Reutte, and Schwaz care for more than 3,500 animals, supported by dedicated volunteers and community partners.
The organization offers various ways for the public to get involved and support its mission, including donations, sponsorships, and adopting animal patrons. Its online shop features stylish hoodies, t-shirts, and other items, with proceeds going directly to support their sheltered animals. The Tierschutzverein also provides resources for lost and found animals, ensuring a compassionate approach to reuniting pets with their owners.
Through active engagement, including newsletters and events, the Tierschutzverein für Tirol invites animal lovers to join its community in making a difference for animals in need
