Tiger Jiu Jitsu

Tiger - Jiu Jitsu is a Czech martial arts and sports club founded in 2001 to provide training for the wider public. The organisation teaches in Kralupy nad Vltavou and Velvary, offering classes for children and adults. Its main disciplines are traditional Jiu Jitsu, Goshindo, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and self-defence for women.

Training reflects the different focus of each discipline. Jiu Jitsu combines techniques such as kicks, strikes, throws, joint locks, and other methods of defence, while Goshindo emphasises movement and coordination. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu focuses largely on ground fighting, including grappling and submission techniques, and offers opportunities to train for fitness or compete in tournaments. The club states that Jiu Jitsu is suitable for children from age seven; younger children are better suited to general movement activities.
