Tiki Wine & Vineyards is an indigenous NZ Māori wine producer dedicated to sustainable winegrowing. Founded by Royce and Sue McKean, their journey began with a deep desire to create something of their own in New Zealand. After spending years living and working overseas, they ultimately decided to return home and settle in the picturesque village of Sumner, Christchurch.

Their search for a new adventure led them to a sheep farm in Waipara, North Canterbury, perfectly suited for growing grapes. With limited funds and no previous experience in grapes or wine, they embarked on their passion project and planted their first vineyard. Over the years, their dedication and hard work paid off, resulting in the expansion of their vineyards into Marlborough.

Today, Tiki has one of the largest vineyards in the North Canterbury Wine Region, spanning over 320 hectares. They produce award-winning wines that embody the spirit of adventure and freedom that New Zealand represents. Their commitment to sustainable practices is reflected in their care for the land, guided by the Māori principles of Kaitiakitanga.
