TikTube is a video platform built on PeerTube, an open, federated streaming system that uses ActivityPub to connect services and peer-to-peer technology to deliver video directly through a web browser. The site lets visitors search for videos by name or find channels by name, channel identifier, or URL. An advanced search option supports more targeted queries, while the home page provides a starting point for browsing.

Users can also log in to access account features. By using PeerTube’s federated model, TikTube is part of a broader approach to online video in which separate services can communicate through a shared protocol, rather than operating only as one centralized platform. Its browser-based peer-to-peer delivery is intended to distribute video playback among viewers and the hosting service.

TikTube’s visible offering is focused on video discovery and streaming, with tools for locating channels and videos and a login option for users. The site notes that current browser compatibility may vary and recommends using an up-to-date version of Mozilla Firefox if access problems occur
