TimeTree is a comprehensive public knowledge-base that provides information on the tree-of-life and its evolutionary timescale. It serves as a valuable resource for individuals interested in exploring relationships and divergence times of major groups of organisms. To access published summaries of these relationships and divergence times, you can refer to the works of Hedges and Kumar (2009) and Hedges et al.
(2015). TimeTree is jointly directed by Blair Hedges and Sudhir Kumar at Temple University. Their dedicated team includes software and database developers, data researchers, post-doctoral researchers, and website design and development experts.
The platform is constantly evolving and welcomes suggestions for improvement. TimeTree has received support from renowned institutions such as the National Science Foundation, NASA Astrobiology Institute, and Science Foundation of Arizona. It is an invaluable resource for researchers, educators, and enthusiasts in evolutionary biology
