Tim Ho Wan USA brings the Hong Kong dim sum restaurant brand to diners across the Americas. Created by chefs Mak Kwai Pui and Leung Fai Keung, Tim Ho Wan opened its first restaurant in Mong Kok, Kowloon, in 2009. The founders set out to serve authentic Cantonese-style dim sum at reasonable prices. In 2010, the restaurant received a Michelin star and became known as the world’s most inexpensive Michelin-starred restaurant.

The brand’s menu features traditional dim sum and other Cantonese dishes, with an emphasis on preserving original recipes. Offerings include baked barbecue pork buns, steamed shrimp dumplings, shrimp and chive dumplings, barbecue pork rice rolls, lotus-leaf sticky rice, spring rolls with shrimp and egg white, and chicken rice. Tim Ho Wan USA invites guests to explore its dishes and restaurant locations, including sites in New York’s East Village, Irvine, Las Vegas, Waikiki, and Katy, Texas. Through its restaurants, the brand aims to share its Hong Kong-inspired flavors with diners in the United States.
