Tim's Kids

Tim’s Kids is a community-supported nonprofit that makes ice hockey accessible to youth and adults with disabilities in Central Florida. Established in 2007 and recognized as a 501(c)(3) organization since 2009, it provides programs at the Space Coast Ice Plex in Rockledge. Its Space Coast SuperCanes team serves players with cognitive and developmental disabilities, while The Fuse offers sled hockey for athletes with physical disabilities. Participants may include people with conditions such as autism, Down syndrome, spina bifida, cerebral palsy, or amputation.

Tim’s Kids supplies equipment, ice time, coaching, and volunteer support at no cost to participants, helping remove financial and practical barriers to taking part. The program emphasizes inclusion, confidence, physical activity, teamwork, friendship, and enjoyment, valuing each player and their abilities. Its volunteer-led community also welcomes donations, equipment contributions, and people willing to give their time or share the organization’s mission. Funding supports core activities, replacement gear as young athletes grow, and opportunities such as travel to tournaments.
