The Tiny Toes Nursery Club is an independent, family-run day nursery in Hertford, established in 2003 by two working mothers. It provides early-years care and education for children aged three months to five years in a warm, home-from-home setting. The nursery is open Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.
m. to 6:30 p. m., for 51 weeks of the year, excluding bank holidays, with full-time and term-time options available.
Its child-led, play-based approach draws on the Curiosity Approach, Montessori principles and modern early-years research, encouraging curiosity, creativity, confidence and independence. Tiny Toes is described as the only Curiosity Approach-accredited nursery in the Hertford area. In 2025, it opened a dedicated baby unit for children aged six to 18 months, featuring a private garden and baby sensory resources.
The nursery says it limits the number of children in each room to help staff build meaningful relationships with children and families. Located on Chambers Street, it has supported more than 900 children on their early learning journeys
