Influences is a biennial photography festival held in the green setting of Parc du Prieuré in Beaucouzé, France. Organized by Les Tisseurs d’Images, the festival presents photography through exhibitions, public events and educational activities, inviting visitors to explore social and cultural themes through images. Its editions have focused on different countries and subjects, including India, Belgium and Germany.
The 2021 edition, titled Influences Allemandes, examined the idea of living together in contemporary Germany, three decades after reunification. Fourteen exhibitions were planned, primarily outdoors, featuring photographers including Ute and Werner Mahler, Sophie Kirchner and Stéphane Duroy. The program also included guided tours, conversations with photographers, book signings, a conference, film screenings, photography workshops, portfolio reviews, educational projects and community events. Visitors could also take part in tours with French Sign Language interpretation. In addition to presenting exhibitions, Influences connects audiences with photographers and cultural partners, including the Franco-German Cultural Centre in Nantes and the University of Angers.
