Tampereen Ilmailuyhdistys ry is a Finnish aviation club focused on gliding and motor gliding. The association offers training for people who want to qualify as glider or motor-glider pilots, making learning to fly a central part of its activities. Visitors can also book an introductory flight to experience aviation firsthand.

The club shares information about its courses, aircraft and gliding activities through its website, alongside news and a photo gallery. It takes part in events that introduce gliding to the public, including national Gliding Day gatherings at Jämi, where visitors can see gliders and, on some occasions, take introductory flights. The association’s updates also describe members’ participation in activities such as a wave-flying camp in Jeseníky, Czechia.

Tampereen Ilmailuyhdistys is a member association of the Finnish Aeronautical Association, the national organisation for the sport. Through pilot training, introductory experiences and shared flying activities, the club supports interest in gliding and motor gliding.
