About TK.Type1
TKJD Foundation is a charitable organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by Juvenile Type 1 Diabetes (T1D). The foundation was established in 2021 in honor of Kaylee, a young girl who was diagnosed with T1D at the age of 4. Understanding the mental and physical impact T1D has on families, TKJD aims to provide the necessary resources and support to help them live carefree lives.
T1D families often face challenges that most people take for granted, such as uninterrupted sleep or enjoying a quick meal on the go. TKJD strives to bridge the gap by bringing together T1D families and the proper resources needed for their care. Through educational courses, diabetic care, medical reimbursements programs, and other resources, the foundation aims to reduce the learning curve faced by the T1D community.
Joining TKJD means making a difference in the lives of emerging adults affected by T1D. The foundation welcomes community advisory board members, sponsors, donations, and anyone interested in contributing to the cause. Together, we can help T1D families live carefree with their condition.
