Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology (TICT) is a leading institute which is specialized to chemistry and technology. It was founded by the Decree of first President of the Uzbekistan- I.A. Karimov on May 6, 1991, with the aim of improving the level of higher technical education, training of engineering and scientific personnel. The TICT trains specialists for enterprises in the chemical, oil refining, biochemical industries as well as the building materials industry, porcelain-faience, furniture, woodworking, oil-fat, flour-milling, canning, meat and dairy industries and others. Currently, the institute consist of 5 faculties: 1) Faculty of technology of foodstuff products; 2) Faculty of chemical technology of fuel and organic substances; 3) Faculty management and professional education; 4) Faculty technology of production of inorganic substances; 5) Faculty of technology of winemaking and industrial viticulture. There are 5 directions in our institute: Bachelor’s degree (extramural, full-time), Master’s degree, PhD, DSc and joint education. The institute allocates a total of 56 programs for all areas, 30 of them for undergraduate, 20 for master’s and 16 for doctoral studies. Nowadays there are 24 departments in the institute, except this there is an academic lyceum under the TICT. Scientific articles, collections and monographs are regularly published at the institute. It is also the head of the largest scientific and technical program “Scientific research of the higher education in priority areas of the science and technology”
