TMA Cleveland Kali

TMA Cleveland Kali, based at Golden Pyramid Martial Arts Center in Maple Heights, Ohio, teaches Filipino martial arts, including Kali, Escrima, and Arnis. These related disciplines grew from the Philippines’ weapons-based fighting traditions and combine practical weapons training with unarmed self-defense. The school emphasizes how the angles, footwork, and reflexes developed through weapons practice can also apply to hand-to-hand combat. Its training brings together Kali, Panukatan, and western-style boxing to prepare students for practical self-defense situations.

Instruction is led by Ty Morgan, who has more than 30 years of martial arts experience and has studied several disciplines, including Niihon Ju Jitsu, Kung Fu, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and Capoeira. He received Kali instructor certification under Guro Martin Johnson. TMA Cleveland Kali invites prospective students to contact the center, visit, or arrange a free trial lesson. The school is located at 5080 Northfield Road and can be reached by phone at (216) 475-1880.
