About TMAPS
TMAPS, the Toronto Metropolitan Association of Planning Students, is a brand that brings together a group of passionate and accomplished planning students who are dedicated to re-imagining the world of urban and regional planning. They take pride in giving back to their community and providing academic support to students in the program. TMAPS is the course union affiliate of the Toronto Met Students' Union, representing undergraduate Urban and Regional Planning students at Toronto Metropolitan University.
Their mission is to create a strong planning community on campus by organizing diverse events where students can learn, laugh, work, and grow together. They also encourage innovative ideas through social media to ensure events that cater to everyone. TMAPS is affiliated with the Faculty of Community Services Society, which aims to unify undergraduate students within the Faculty of Community Services through initiatives focused on unity, mental health, professional development, and academic advocacy.
Additionally, TMAPS is part of the Toronto Metropolitan Students' Union, advocating for student rights, supporting student groups and initiatives, and providing discounted services.
