About TNRF
TNRF (Tanzania Natural Resource Forum) is an NGO that focuses on improving governance and accountability in Tanzania's natural resource sector. Their goal is to achieve sustainable rural livelihoods and better conservation outcomes. With a membership of over 3,800 individuals and organizations, TNRF works to bridge the gap between local natural resource management needs and national priorities, policies, laws, and programs.
TNRF supports its members by promoting collaboration, sharing information, and strengthening collective action. Their mission is to bring together diverse stakeholders and improve communication and understanding between them to secure consensus and better management of natural resources. This way, people can make a living while ensuring the protection and sustainability of these resources.
In addition to their advocacy work, TNRF also offers various services and resources. They provide job opportunities and information on other organizations' job vacancies. They produce films through their Maajabu Unit that give communities a platform to voice their opinions on natural resource governance issues.
TNRF also publishes policy briefs on land-based investments and provides updates through their E-Newsletters and social media platforms. With a vision for sustainable resource management and benefit for all users, TNRF is at the forefront of promoting positive change in Tanzania's natural resource sector
